Prior to NT CANINE™ treatment, a vet had prescribed an ointment, which, as many of you have encountered, didn't work at all. This had been used for several weeks with no success. The wound became a mess.
This is the Hot Spot after we clipped and cleaned. It is now ready for treatment
DAY 1 - (5 minutes after first application.)
The powder absorbs the discharge and begins creating a solid, breathable scab.
During the first few days of treatment, Grace required the use of a cone collar to prevent her from doing further damage.
Because this was an intense hot spot, NT Canine had to work overtime. Here on day 3, all is looking good, but the discharge still managed to weaken the scab on one corner. We simply dusted a few more times to absorb and dry the infection.
NT Canine has created the solid scab we are looking for. From this point forward, once per day dustings should be utilized until the scab falls off and you find fresh skin below.
At this point we sent Grace home and her owner followed daily dusting protocol.
Grace was returned to us on day 20 for evaluation.
As you can see, the sore is gone and the hair is growing back nicely. Now it is just a matter of time while the hair grows back fully.
It should be noted that NT CANINE™, nor any other product, will "make" tissue re-grow. What NT CANINE™ does is "allow" tissue to regenerate. Its natural ingredients are strong enough to keep bacteria at bay, but it is non-caustic and won't damage live tissue like so many other products.
